This isn't the first time Mike Pence has come to Virginia to help Republicans. In 2017, he rallied with Ed Gillespie right before the election, hoping to boost his chances of winning. But we all know how that turned out. Ed Gillespie got wiped out and Democrats flipped 15 seats in the House of Delegates.

In 2018, Pence came back to rally with Scott Taylor in the final days of his Congressional campaign. But Elaine Luria beat Taylor last November, flipping a Republican-held Congressional seat in the blue wave election that helped Democrats take back the House of Representatives.

Virginians know that the Trump-Pence administration has completely failed our Commonwealth. Trump and Pence have taken tens of millions of dollars away from crucial military projects in Virginia in order to pay for their pipe dream of a border wall. Their climate policies threaten communities in Norfolk and Virginia Beach with flooding. And now Pence has the audacity to come campaign in these communities.
