Hi John, Mondays can be hard, right? Whether you had a restful weekend with family and friends or are already in the midst of a busy holiday to-do list, I wanted to reach out to you today with some encouragement and an amazing story to start your week off right. I know we share a lot of statistics about the impact of your support of Human Coalition. For example, last fiscal year, your partnership rescued 3,927 children from abortion. And your partnership enabled Human Coalition to provide over 188,000 services to families in need – services like child care, employment assistance, material assistance, affordable housing, and so much more. But have you considered the individual human lives behind each one of those numbers? Behind each child you’ve rescued, is a mom who was reached in one of the most desperate times of her life. Behind each service and resource, is a mom, child, and even dad who is now set up for a brighter future. One recent real-life example that demonstrates the impact you have is “Donna’s” story. When Donna reached out to Human Coalition, she was actively seeking an abortion because she felt like she had no other choice. The father of the baby was pushing for an abortion. And even when she went to her family for help, they weren’t willing to support her. Moreover, she had an abortion several years before and knew firsthand the emotional and physical side-effects of the procedure. Simply put, she had never been the same. Ultimately, Donna firmly believed that abortion was wrong… that it took the life of a child. But she was alone and couldn’t see any other options. However, through weeks of counseling, care, and encouragement at one of Human Coalition’s Women Care Clinics, Donna began to realize that she could overcome the challenges in her life without aborting her child. She worked with Human Coalition’s Continuum of Care team, where she was connected to long-term counseling, material assistance, and even employment services so she could get a job to support her child. Knowing that a full team was ready to walk with her, Donna decided to choose life for her baby girl. Today, Donna is thriving with her baby, “Ariana,” and still communicates with Human Coalition’s team regularly. Through your support and with the help of Continuum of Care, she recently completed a certification test and has started a new job.
Donna’s transformation has been incredible. She went from having no support and seeing abortion as the only option she had, to having a new job, a new baby, and a new support system. But stories like this wouldn’t be possible without partners like you, John. Over the years, your prayers and support have helped grow the National Rescue System to reach more moms, rescue more children, and restore more families in some of the deadliest cities for abortion. Now, Human Coalition is exploring NEW opportunities to expand the National Rescue System to other states and grow the network of care in the states we already serve.
