Hello,
This past week, our country yet again faced the grim reality that has become commonplace in America: Another school shooting; another community devastated by gun violence; another day of wondering about America’s fascination with firearms and whispering “thoughts and prayers.”
Most Republicans want us to believe that the answer to stopping gun violence in this country is more firearms. Everyone knows that’s not true, but the Republican blinders are on because the NRA is paying them handsomely.
And just days after 4 more teenagers were killed in Oxford, Michigan, my opponent Chuck Grassley went on the Senate floor and BLOCKED a bill requiring universal background checks for gun purchases. You couldn’t make this up.
I’m running for Senate against Chuck Grassley because I’m done with Republicans kowtowing to the NRA and caring more about their campaign donations than the lives of our children.
If you’re ready to elect a Democrat who will take on the NRA – not take their blood money – then chip in $5 or whatever you can afford right now to my campaign. With your help now, we can defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and protect our Democratic Senate majority. [[link removed]]
