This is one thing we all could do something about.

John—

The developing situation in Michigan with the Oxford school shooting has filled us with grief and anger, as we grapple yet again with the fact that our kids are at risk of gun violence in the classroom.

On Friday I joined Zerlina Maxwell to discuss what we can do to stop this madness.

The reality of the situation is simple: If kids weren't able to get their hands on guns, we wouldn't have school shootings.

Secure storage and education is up to all of us—take a minute (really!) to watch this video and share with your communities.

There are 5.4 million kids who live in a house with an unsecured firearm, and more than three out of four school shooters get their guns from the home of a family member or relative.

Because of that, no one should ever hesitate to ask another about access to guns or to educate others about secure firearm storage—the safety of our loved ones depends on it.

But we also know that change has to come from everywhere for secure storage to become the norm. That's why we've done work with school boards, community groups, and even the Biden-Harris Administration to make sure Americans know that secure storage works.

We all have a stake about raising awareness and keeping our communities, families, and schools safe by asking a simple question—is your gun stored securely?

Thank you for being a part of our movement,
