Republicans all across America are trying to:

Make it harder for some people — like working Americans, people of color, immigrants, seniors, city residents, and younger people — to vote.

Institute flagrantly partisan gerrymandering schemes that would distort elections in their favor.

Give governors and state legislators the power to overturn elections when Democrats win.

To preserve our democracy, it is beyond critical to pass the Freedom To Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

But neither bill can pass until Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema — who actually agree with what’s in these essential pieces of legislation — decide that saving our democracy is important enough to work around the arcane Senate filibuster, which has been weaponized by Republicans as a tool of rank partisan obstructionism.
