Here’s the truth: Political candidates say a lot of things when they are running for office — but so often, once in Washington, they feed off the dysfunction and chaos rather than actually getting to work to get things done for the folks that sent them there.

When I realized that so many of the issues impacting my patients started outside of the exam room, I jumped into the fight to pass the Affordable Care Act and expand access to quality, affordable health care to 23 million Americans.

As important as that victory was, I knew there was a lot more to do, so I stepped up to join the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners — later becoming Chair and securing paid parental leave and a $15 minimum wage for county employees, taking action to address climate change, and helping small businesses and child care centers stay afloat through the pandemic.

So when I tell you what results I’ll deliver in the U.S. Senate, I’ve got the record to back it up.

Right now, Pennsylvania and our country are counting on another U.S. Senator who will vote to create good-paying, union jobs and address climate change at the same time. I’m ready to be that Senator, but do that, I need to stay on track in my fundraising. That’s where you come in:
