We've been alerted to a potential new opponent: John Catanzara; a Trump supporter with a long, troubling history of hateful remarks who now claims he's going to run for mayor.

This guy is bad news. But don't just take our word for it -- here are a few of the credentials you won’t see highlighted in Catanzara’s campaign literature:

Authored dozens of racist social media posts, that at times, encouraged violence
Shared hateful anti-LGBTQ social media posts
Defended the Jan 6th Capitol riot as a mere “inconvenience”
Walked away from his job in order to escape accountability

We don't need a student of Donald Trump leading this city.

We'll be honest with you, we have no idea what this next year will bring -- so we need to do everything we can to prepare now.

That's why we're asking you to help us send a message: Chicago stands with Mayor Lightfoot.

Mayor Lightfoot has fought so hard to raise the minimum wage, fight corruption, and put the city back on strong financial footing. We cannot let someone like this undo all of our hard-fought progress.
