Those were Ana's heartfelt words, thanking you for helping save her son Luis's life, whose tragic story I told you about in my last email.
Today, Luis is thriving and doing great in high school. He received legal status. And he has a real chance at a better life. Because the sad truth is if he had stayed in El Salvador, he could be dead by now.

People like you provided the help Luis and his mother needed by connecting them with a strong network of support to ensure a smooth transition to their new home.
We were able to give Luis and Ana the assistance they needed because of you. And that's why I'm asking you to help more families by providing them with the resources they need to succeed by making a generous gift today.
Since our founding in 1939, we have joined with caring friends like you to put faith into action by resettling more than half a million refugees and asylum seekers.
Of course, we didn't do it alone. It took our efforts, the cooperation of the government, and the support of our partners.
