Dear John,

Politicians are eroding your life savings and you need make them stop.

Prices have increased by nearly five per cent in a year. The cost of gasoline is up 42 per cent and the price of meat is up 10 per cent. Can you afford higher prices?

Massive government borrowing, printing tons of new dollars out of thin air and raising taxes during the pandemic is a sure-fire way to make your life more expensive. That means your paycheque doesn’t stretch as far and your savings aren’t worth as much.

You need to push politicians to stop their inflation tax. The more dollars the government prints, the less your dollars buy. Canada’s central bank has printed $370 billion ([link removed]) during the pandemic.

What is the central bank buying with these newly printed dollars? Government debt.

In 2020, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau racked up a $335-billion deficit. During that time, the central bank printed up new dollars to buy $275 billion worth of government of Canada debt. That means Trudeau is financing a chunk of his deficits by devaluing your money.

You know Canadians can’t afford higher taxes while we’re still struggling with a pandemic. But Trudeau has already increased his carbon tax twice during the pandemic and he is getting ready to increase the carbon tax again next year. By 2030, Trudeau wants you to pay about 50 cents per litre of gas just in carbon taxes.

You can’t afford the rising cost of government, but politicians won’t do anything about inflation unless you act.

You can stand with thousands of other Canadians and demand a plan to deal with inflation by signing the online PETITION: [link removed] ([link removed])

After you’re done signing the petition, can you share it with your friends and family so more taxpayers can demand action to stop inflation?

Thanks for standing up for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!

Sincerely,
* Franco, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team
