With abortion rights in peril at the Supreme Court, there has never been a more critical time to have pro-choice leaders like Governor Janet Mills to protect reproductive rights here in Maine.

But, as reported last week in the Bangor Daily News, Republicans are determined to take back power in Augusta in the 2022 midterms and roll back legal protections for abortion in our state.

Here in Maine, we have some of the strongest legal protections for abortion in the country. More than 60% of Mainers believe these decisions should be left to individuals and their doctors. But the GOP doesn’t care about the will of the people -- just their own far-right, anti-choice agenda.
