Florida Governor and Trump supporter Ron DeSantis wants his own private army.

He proposed creating a “Florida State Guard” which would be totally under his control and not beholden to the federal government.

Can you imagine how dangerous it is to have a militarized state force completely outside the national defense apparatus — under the complete control of a Trumpist — when it comes to things like protests or post-election insurrection and coup attempts?
