Hi, John — This past weekend, Wendy Davis held an event in support of my campaign!
Back in October, I was honored to receive Wendy Davis’ endorsement. Wendy Davis is a former Texas state senator and one of the first candidates I ever knocked doors for. Her dedication to advocating for Texans is a huge inspiration for me, as I run to advocate for my community in Congress.
I am proud to have Wendy Davis on my side as we fight to unseat Henry Cuellar. Cuellar is an anti-choice, anti-labor, and a Pro-NRA Democrat who has spent the past 15 years siding with Republicans on a number of issues. And at this moment, his unyielding opposition to abortion rights is dangerous and shameful. Any Texas Congressperson who has seen the devastating impacts of abortion bans on his constituents and still refuses to defend the right to choose doesn’t deserve to represent our state.
Texans need a representative in Congress who will fight for reproductive justice and support progressive values our communities deserve. But we only have three more months to reach as many voters as possible to win this race. So I must ask: can you make a contribution today?

You see, John, when we keep anti-choice politicians in power, they find ways to dismantle our constitutional rights — including this most recent attack on abortion access, which includes no exceptions for rape or incest.
That’s why we cannot keep Henry Cuellar in Congress any longer. Rep. Cuellar joined forces with Republicans to support extreme abortion bans. He has consistently refused to defend South Texans’ reproductive freedom and has chosen time and time again to align himself with his Republican allies and turn his back on Texans and our healthcare needs.
I have always advocated for the best interests of my community, including access to the reproductive healthcare we need to provide us with autonomy over our own bodies and our futures. I believe that to keep the right to choose intact, we must codify Roe v. Wade and repeal the Hyde Amendment to make abortion accessible and affordable. As a congresswoman, I will defend the right to choose for every Texan and will help people who can become pregnant maintain control over their own reproductive destinies.
