“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” Acts 1:8 (ESV).
Right before Jesus left this earth, He told His followers two things: First, they would receive power from the Holy Spirit. And two, they would be His witnesses.
The same promise Jesus made to the first disciples still holds true for us today. Every person who believes in Jesus receives power to fulfill His command to tell others—both near us and around the world — about His hope.
With Christmas quickly approaching there is no better time to share the hope of Jesus with others. Who will you tell?
Praises and Prayers
Pray for people living in countries that are still facing major challenges due to COVID-19 — specifically pray that the Lord will continue to open blocked supply chain channels so that humanitarian supplies will reach the people who need them in the toughest places where Unto serves.
Praise that 679 people received eyeglasses during a recent Unto vision clinic in Uganda. Pray that the relationships built between our field staff members and the people who attended the clinic will result in many responding to the eternal hope of Jesus.
Pray that people living in areas of the Middle East experiencing unrest will experience peace. Pray that humanitarian supplies, such as coats and blankets, will arrive in refugee communities just in time for the cold winter weather.
