Today, I'm officially endorsing Jessica Cisneros for Congress to represent
Texas' 28th District. Let's go!

I couldn't be prouder to officially be a part of Jessica's movement to
bring bold, progressive change to South Texas. I'm constantly inspired by
the work that she does in her community, and I know that she's exactly
what Congress needs right now.

When I visited Laredo earlier this year, I saw the urgent need for
transformative charge. The carceral immigration system at the border needs
a leader rooted in decarceration and justice — and as an immigration
lawyer, Jessica is ready.

up for what's sure to be one of the most competitive races in the House.

It's critical that we show out to support Jessica right now, because our
work to build a strong grassroots movement isn't just confined to New
York.

Jessica's the one we want fighting for the people in Washington. Her
opponent, Henry Cuellar, has received more than $800,000 from sources like
the fossil fuel industry and the Koch family. Jessica, on the other hand,
unapologetically supports the Green New Deal.

Cuellar is also one of the most conservative Democrats in the House — he
was the only Democrat to vote against the Women's Health Protection Act,
right as arguments take place in the Supreme Court over abortion access
and rights. Now more than ever, we need Democrats who are fighting for
reproductive rights.

In 2020, Jessica lost to Cuellar by just 3.6%, despite being a first-time
candidate and being outspent. And this time, with more experience and
name-recognition, we know that victory is within reach for Jessica — but
we can't just expect it to happen.

Our movement will organize harder than Jessica's opponent, but we need to
