Good morning from Washington, where we’re mourning Bob Dole, the former Senate Republican leader and presidential candidate who died yesterday at age 98. It’s doubtful Dole would recognize the “science” that Jarrett Stepman describes being advanced by today’s social justice warriors. On the podcast, Doug Blair explores the leftist trend of social-emotional learning with an Indiana teacher who was fired for objecting to it. Plus: a nonprofit snags Biden administration contracts despite past improprieties; parents fight schools that encourage secret gender transitions; and your letters in defense of education. Sixty years ago today, Syracuse running back Ernie Davis becomes the first black player to win college football's Heisman Trophy.
