Folks,

No one should have to live in fear of discrimination — not in the halls of Congress or anywhere else.

But Ilhan has received death threat after death threat since she was elected to Congress — and some of our Republican colleagues have even directly contributed with their own discriminatory comments.

The GOP’s hateful, inflammatory rhetoric — especially over the last few weeks — is unacceptable. And Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s silence is only enabling his far-right members to continue their attacks, which often incite more threats and intimidation.

I will always fight back against the hate, the bigotry, and the xenophobia Republicans spew against Ilhan and other Muslims. Ilhan’s voice is deeply important in Congress and she will not be silenced.

Together, we’ve passed important legislation, like the No BAN Act, to stop a Muslim ban or any ban based on religion from ever happening again. We’re also moving important Democratic priorities forward, like expanding healthcare and funding efforts to combat the climate crisis through the Build Back Better Act that is set to pass in the Senate soon.

We won’t let up in doing this important work, no matter what Republicans throw at us. Can you split a donation of any amount between our campaigns to power our fight for progress?
