I’m honored to be the new Co-Chair of DAGA and I can’t wait to help grow this organization and elect more Dem AGs.
Wow. First off – thank you for this kind note and introduction, AG Healey.
It’s been a pleasure and an honor to serve on DAGA’s Executive Committee during your time as Co-chair and I’m incredibly excited to continue that good work over the next two years.
As I know you have heard many times now, next year’s election won’t be easy. With more than 30 AG seats up for grabs, we have to be prepared to give 2022 everything we’ve got in order to elect as many Dem AGs as possible and protect the progress we’ve made in states around the country.
This team will be hearing a lot more from me in the days and weeks ahead, but like AG Healey, I want you to know how grateful I am to be in this fight alongside you.
We’re going to need your help to fund the necessary organizing, innovation, and campaign building that will be required to turn out voters, fight disinformation, and win these grueling races in battleground states. Republicans are going to dump millions of dollars at the tail end of races across the country, so we need your help now to make sure we’re ready.
Thanks for your support and I can’t wait to celebrate these hard-earned wins with you on Election Night 2022.

Subject: thank you (and I have news!)
Friend,
It’s Massachusetts AG Maura Healey, and like so many other people you’ve talked to over the past Thanksgiving holiday week, I just want to say: thank you.
For the past two years, I’ve served as DAGA’s Co-Chair, helping guide the organization through two intense elections to defeat Donald Trump and protect our progress at the state level.
Even though we didn’t win every battle, we continued to make and defend progress. We successfully reelected almost every incumbent that has run since 2020 (including Pennsylvania Dem AG Josh Shapiro and North Carolina Dem AG Josh Stein), and we expanded and grew DAGA to help ensure we win crucial AG elections across the country in 2022 and beyond.
And because you’ve been with us through it all friend, I wanted you to be among the first to hear about DAGA’s newest Co-chair: my good friend, Delaware AG Kathy Jennings!
Co-chair roles at DAGA last two years, and serving alongside Oregon AG Ellen Rosenblum in 2019 and Nevada AG Aaron Ford in 2020 to helm this committee has been a true honor – but I know that DAGA will be in good hands with AG Jennings and I look forward to seeing all that she and AG Ford accomplish next year.
As Attorney General, Kathy Jennings has been a champion for criminal justice reform in her state, and has a long track record of keeping her community safe and fighting to protect and uplift those who are too often overlooked.
AG Jennings will be a powerful force for good as DAGA’s newest Co-chair, and I’m so excited to see this organization continue fighting for our communities and helping to elect and empower the Peoples’ Lawyers – our Dem AGs.
Thank you again for an incredible two years as Co-chair, and I look forward to continuing the fight for progress alongside you.
Maura

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in 2022, we need your support – will you chip in today?
