INSPIRING HOPE THROUGH TRANSFORMATION
“I never really told any of my teachers … what was going on. I never wanted to use that as an excuse to get pity or anything.” —Darien
One morning, I (Darien) woke my mom to say goodbye and went to school. When I got home, I settled down to relax in the living room with my grandparents and cousin.
The door opens, and then I see two of my aunts coming through the door. They were hysterically crying. Everybody was really confused because we didn't really know what was going on. My aunt said that my mom was gone, that the police took her. That's the moment I remember most.
I was angry and confused. I kept the secret of my mom's incarceration to myself.
Men and women in prison are looking for hope. And nothing provides hope like the living Word of God. The demand for Bibles and Christian content is at an all-time high. Will you help us meet the need? Please give generously today.
