John,
On May 20th, President Biden signed an Executive Order that directs the
Federal Government to lead by example and prioritize federal investments
in climate change.
As the nation's largest spender, the Federal Government must lead the way
in the adoption of climate change mitigation efforts across industries,
both public and private.
To that end, the Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council is seeking public
comments right now as it considers how major federal agencies will
minimize the risk of climate change.
From the Department of Defense to NASA, with your input, we can make sure
that billions of dollars in spending is used to push various public and
private institutions to factor in the cost of greenhouse gas emissions in
procurement decisions while ensuring our tax dollars go to suppliers that
take climate change seriously.

President Biden recognizes the devastating impacts of climate change and
how it is a growing risk to communities and working people across America.
By pushing our federal agencies to actually account for the risks of the
climate crisis, the Biden administration is working to push the Government
to take action.
Now, it is up to DFA members to add their public input and make sure major
federal agencies hear us loud and clear: [ [link removed] ]Tell the Biden Administration
