I wanted to drop you a quick update on where our campaign is right now. We always want to be transparent, so I’ll tell you the truth: We’re expecting a bit of a slump in fundraising until the end of the year that could force us to roll back on critical campaign investments just as the race ramps up in January. 

During this time of year, folks are heading offline and spending extra time with their loved ones. Campaigns and politics are often the last things on their minds. But as I look over our fundraising numbers this quarter, I’m worried we might be heading into 2022 behind where we need to be.

The last thing I want to do is scale back our campaign, but these months are notoriously slow for grassroots campaigns like ours that reject money from corporate PACs and federal lobbyists. Once we enter January we’ll be in a full-on sprint to Election Day 2022, and so will Michael’s opponents; your support today makes a huge difference.

You see, the National GOP could pour millions of the $75 million they’ve raised so far this year into this race to take back the Senate and undo the progress Michael and Democrats have made this year. 

So I’m humbly asking for your help right now: Will you pitch in just $10 today before you log off for the weekend? I want to get ahead of this winter slump so we can end the year strong and defend Michael’s seat.
