As we wrap up our Giving Tuesday campaign and the holiday season approaches, we reflect on how fortunate we are to count you among our supporters.

We could not do the timely, urgent work of pushing for transformative climate, clean energy, jobs, and environmental justice legislation without you. Your generosity, time, and energy powers LCV's efforts to create a healthier, safer, and more just world for all.

Unfortunately, we missed our goal to unlock the extra $100,000 donation by a hair — but we were still able to raise a substantial amount of money to keep our campaigns going strong and fund our work into 2022. LCV supporters have stepped up over and over again in 2021 to support this critical work — we cannot thank you enough.


This year, our top priority has been enacting into law transformative, equitable climate action in the Build Back Better Act, which was passed by the House on November 19. Once passed by the Senate and signed by President Biden, it will be the strongest and most significant action the U.S. has ever taken to combat climate change. Because of your collective support and commitment, LCV was able to launch a campaign unprecedented in scale and size in our 50-year history.

Thanks to you, LCV and our campaign partner Climate Power have run more than 185 ads in 33 House districts and seven states, touting the opportunities around climate, clean energy, jobs, and justice in the Build Back Better Act. We've also been able to demonstrate strong, visible support for climate action in key Congressional districts and states around the country. Thus far, we've:

• Knocked on nearly 400,000 doors,
• Distributed more than 16,500 "Climate Action Now" yard signs,
• Secured the support of more than 15,000 small businesses, and
• Activated more than 22,000 new LCV members to participate in our campaign.

This popularity among constituents hasn't occurred by accident. It's because the Build Back Better Act — and specifically its climate, clean energy, jobs, and environmental justice provisions is a winning issue for the public and legislators alike. None of this would be possible without you. Thank you.

Now it's time to keep up the momentum as the new year approaches and our window to enact meaningful change to protect our communities and curb the worsening impacts of the climate crisis grows smaller.
