In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Here’s the truth:

December is an official FEC deadline month. What that means is, when it’s over, we are legally required to report how much money we raised AND the number of donations we received online will also be public.

Everyone will be watching — the press, our opponents, and our allies as well. They all want to know if we are building the kind of grassroots campaign it will take to hold this seat.

So, while it’s early in the month, we can’t afford to start slow. We need the peace of mind that we will reach our goal. And that is why I am asking:
