Friend:
I wanted to make sure you saw the op-ed by AU CEO Rachel Laser in today’s Washington Post about Carson v. Makin, one of the most important Supreme Court cases for religious freedom this year. Click here to read Rachel’s column.
Americans United was founded almost 75 years ago in large part to combat public funding for religious schools—and here we are now, still defending that principle as a conservative Supreme Court prepares to hear this case on Wednesday.
Religious extremists are bound and determined to use taxpayer dollars to fund creationism, theocracy and discrimination in their religious schools. This op-ed makes the case for separation of church and state—please read, post and circulate!
Thank you for all you do,
Naomi Paiss
