Around half of the Pentagon’s total spending since 2001 has gone to defense contractors.
That comes out to $7 trillion in just under 2 decades.
Think about it. Corporate executives of weapons manufacturers have gotten rich off of wars abroad, then they funnel money to their favorite politicians in DC who vote to pass the Pentagon’s budget and keep their coffers full. It’s a corrupt cycle that incentivizes war and death all for the sake of profit.
My opponent, Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi is part of it. During his four years in Congress, he’s already taken $47,500 from defense contractors like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics. And every year, he happily votes to approve the Pentagon’s bloated budget.
