Let’s take this time to look for the light in unexpected places and situations and lift it up.

Chag u’rim samaech!

Families across our community and around the world have been celebrating the festival of lights this week, remembering the miracle of a single cruse of oil burning bright for eight days instead of one. In more ways than one, this holiday is about light triumphing over darkness. It invokes hope and a strong sense of community, and I hope all of us, regardless of our faith, can find meaning in that this year.

Let’s take this time to look for the light in unexpected places and situations -- and lift it up. Whether you’re celebrating with loved ones in your home or eating latkes over Zoom, I wish you a happy and healthy Hanukkah. Stay safe, stay hopeful, and remember to find the light in the darkness.

Warmly,

Andrew
