Dear Friend
Our campaign has steadily gained momentum since I first announced my candidacy, resulting in nearly double the amount of funds raised for each consecutive quarter-- And this was only possible because of people like you!
So, I sincerely want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my campaign the grassroots movement it is today.
But we still have an uphill battle ahead after falling just $1,784 short of our goal last month. This will not slow us down. In fact, this makes us work harder because we still need to ensure that dignity and equity are made front and center in our federal government.
We have already achieved our most important goal of running an inclusive campaign that reaches, engages, and is powered by people from all walks of life and experiences including Jeremy, who is unemployed and yet still contributed half of what he had for the week: $10, or Oracio, who is a rancher on the verge of losing his farm and yet still sent a check.

I know that asking for money every week isn’t feasible for everyone, and I don’t want you to think that I expect everyone to give with every ask. That’s why I’m asking for your help to grow our campaign through word-of-mouth. Whether that’s liking and sharing our posts, inviting your friends and family to our events, or even hosting a meet and greet so your friends and family can meet me personally.
Our campaign has been so successful because people are excited to hear a candidate talk about the necessity of campaign finance reform and enacting term limits to our federal offices; people are excited to see a candidate who will answer the tough questions, regardless of whether they make good sound bites or not; and people are excited to meet a candidate who doesn’t have to sugar-coat her past in order to prove she’s a progressive.
I know I say this a lot, but it’s because I sincerely mean it: I can’t do this without you, and I don’t want to. We can only achieve equity and justice if we work together.
