“Falcons and Hawks are kept manacled to the ground by each ankle... in a small dusty enclosure (just enough room to reach a small fetid bowl of water and one dead rodent, their food ration for the day).”
“I was completely shocked at the size of some enclosures and especially the snowy owl which had either lost or pulled out all the feathers on its head.”
“I could see in the distance hoards of children running around screaming and throwing things at the animals with no staff supervising.”
** John, I need your help today because if we don’t take action for these animals, no one else will.
------------------------------------------------------------
All of these awful situations are happening at zoos in the UK. They have been reported to us by people who were shocked and concerned to see animals being treated this way. They want someone to help these animals and end their suffering.
Frustratingly, so often by the time people reach out to us they have already tried other ways of helping the animals in the situation. But they have not been taken seriously by authorities or have reached a dead end.
You know that at Freedom for Animals we will never ignore animals in need. We may not be able to rescue all of them but we will do everything within our power to help them as much as we can.
So that is why I am asking for your help today, to help me raise funds to support a dedicated Active Response Team. ([link removed]) This team includes researchers and investigators who will deal with these reports quickly and efficiently to help animals.

With your help we will be able to collect more evidence of animal suffering, licence breaches and other issues at captive facilities. Action can be taken sooner to help animals and hold businesses to account.
So please will you give a life-changing donation and support our Active Response Team? We need to raise at least £5,000 to power our research and investigations in 2022. Now is the best time to donate to have the biggest impact for animals!
