Less than a year into the Biden presidency, the American people are victim to an unprecedented increase in gas, car, lodging, and food prices (to name just a few). Out-of-control government spending is weakening our economy and will bankrupt future generations of Americans.
November’s disappointing jobs report continues to showcase the gap between the Biden Administration’s priorities and the needs of the American people. In March, Biden allured Congress into spending $2 trillion promising millions of jobs. Now, he's pressuring members of Congress into spending an additional $2 trillion while this jobs report fell short of expectations by 64 percent.
With sky-high inflation, disappointing job numbers, and a persistent effort to spend more money we don’t have, our economy cannot properly recover.
It would be more encouraging if President Biden and Congressional leadership understood the real impact that endlessly printing money has on the everyday, hard-working American. They refuse to acknowledge this reality. Instead of agreeing to reel in Washington's spending addiction, Congress passed a bill this week to enable the federal government to continue to spend too much money.
As your Representative in Congress, fiscal responsibility is a top priority of mine because you sent me to Washington to fight for prosperity for Wisconsin. I will continue to speak up and vote against this constant barrage of reckless spending to secure a brighter future for our children and grandchildren.
