We’ve just closed the books on another month of fundraising, and I can’t thank you enough for your continued support.

Whether you donate, sign a petition, or simply read our emails -- every action you take supports our grassroots campaign in a big way.

I know we’re officially getting ready for the holidays, and for so many this is a time for family, gifts, and celebration. But for others, it can be a tough couple of weeks.

There are many residents here in MI-11 that could use our love and help this holiday season. So if you can, check out these resources below and consider donating or volunteering to help make someone’s holiday special:

• Oakland County Meals on Wheels -- Donate or volunteer to deliver meals to senior citizens’ doorsteps across Oakland County.
• Child Safe Michigan -- Donate to or consider becoming a mentor with Child Safe in Royal Oak to help empower and support disadvantaged children.
• South Michigan Food Bank -- Volunteer or donate food to South Michigan Food Bank to help hungry individuals and families get the care and nourishment they need this winter.

These are only a few of the many ways to give back this holiday season. You’ve all kindly given to me, and now it’s time to pay it forward.
