Dear Friend,
Did you know that our coalition is made up of 20 different organizations? Each organization is a unique and integral part of the larger American secular community and SCA is proud to advocate on their behalf here in our nation's capital. We would like to share with you what some of these organizations are up to!

Camp Quest Pioneer Valley: A New Kind of Summer Camp
Are you looking for a different kind of summer camp experience? One that includes Socrates, unicorns, and famous freethinkers? Camp Quest Pioneer Valley, a secular, co-ed day camp in Greenfield, MA, opens in July of 2022. If your child will be entering first through sixth grade in the fall of 2002, Pioneer Valley might just be the perfect fit.
All Camp Quest programs feature fun summer camp activities—swimming, outdoor adventures, and skits—but they also offer more than that. Camp Quest knows how important it is for children to feel a sense of belonging in a supportive community. Inclusive programming seeks to help campers forge lasting friendships, cultivate empathy and explore humanist values. Campers will learn about freethought heroes and environmental responsibility. They’ll test applications of reason and empiricism during the beloved Socrates Cafe. They’ll even tackle complex philosophical problems and try to do the impossible: prove that unicorns do not exist. At the end of the program, campers will return home empowered to make change in their own communities.
Camp Quest Pioneer Valley will be held at the Stoneleigh-Burnham campus in Greenfield, July 25 - August 12, 2022. The program runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., with options for before- and after- care. Want to learn more? Sign up now to receive email updates, and you’ll be the first notified when registration opens in January.
Bring who you are. Be(come) who you are.

American Humanist Association's New Executive Director, Nadya Dutchin.
The American Humanist Association (AHA) announced this week the appointment of Nadya Dutchin as the organization’s new Executive Director. As Executive Director, Dutchin will lead the staff of the AHA from its headquarters in Washington, DC and work closely with the AHA Board, as the organization continues to effectively advocate for humanist values and serve the humanist community.
Prior to joining the AHA, Dutchin was the Co-Executive Director of Power Shift Network, a Washington, DC-based climate justice organization where she led the communications and fundraising programs.
By standing on the rich legacy of the humanist movement, Dutchin hopes to "build a truly welcoming community for the large number of young, Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ people who are atheist, agnostic, or otherwise nontheistic, and want to work and sit in community with other like-minded freethinkers."
Our coalition is delighted about this appointment and is excited to welcome Nadya into the larger secular community!

Our member organizations are critical partners in the Secular Coalition for America's (SCA) mission to protect and strengthen secularism at the federal level. The Secular Coalition for America is grateful to have the support of our member organizations, including the Freethought Society, the Camp Quest, and the American Humanist Association which are out there every day building community and proving that we all can be "good without god"!
To support our work on behalf of nontheist Americans, please click the “I want to help secular advocacy!” button to donate to the (C4) division of SCA which is responsible for lobbying congress, or the “I want to help secular education!” button for a tax-deductible donation to the (C3) division of SCA which works to educate Americans about our movement and values. Every dollar goes to furthering our shared secular agenda.

P.S. Be sure to check if your employer will match your contribution to SCA thereby doubling your impact on advancing secularism!
