My friend the late John Lewis often talked about voting as "sacred" and "precious." The last few years have shown just how right he was.

There is nothing more important, more impactful than our freedom to vote. Our democracy has endured a lot -- and we’ve survived. But we have to keep going.

Republicans are counting on us to let our guard down next year. But Michigan families are counting on us to stay in the fight.
