Our economic action has made extraordinary progress in 2021! #1 Big news for the climate! We successfully pushed Amazon, AT&T, and Verizon to make some of the largest corporate purchases of renewable energy in the US. Over 100,000 people have taken our “Cool It!” action against Walmart to curb HFCs—greenhouse gases up to 9,000 times more potent than CO2. We’ll push Walmart to act quickly on its climate-harming refrigeration. #2 We are working to make ALL agriculture regenerative. Our Regenerative Ag work is breathtaking—not only are farmers putting carbon back into the soil, improving biodiversity, and producing more nutritious food—they are more profitable! In 2022, we’ll work to shift millions of acres to regenerative. At the community level, we’ve registered nearly 15,000 Climate Victory Gardens— the equivalent of not driving 38 million miles. In 2022, we’ll work to double that! #3 Together, you and I are accelerating economic justice by protecting workers in dangerous supply chains around the world. We’re working with the largest tech companies—including Apple, Dell, and HP—to remove the most toxic chemicals from supplier factories.
