THE BLADE. While in Toledo, JD chatted with the Toledo Blade about his campaign.
“The real way to bring a lot of our manufacturing base back from overseas is to penalize the companies that are doing business with regimes who hate us, and the only way to do that is with tariffs,” JD said. “For 30 years a bipartisan group has said tariffs are bad, and it's led to the decimation of places like Toledo and Middletown and others all across Ohio.”
One voter interviewed for the story said, “[JD’s] the one that’s truly out there touting for the Ohio worker…He’s got a background, he’s asking for us to come together. We need jobs back here.”
STANDING UP FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS. On his travels through Northwest Ohio, JD spoke with WLIO-TV in Lima about the problems affecting our economy exacerbated by Joe Biden’s policies.
END ILLEGAL VACCINE MANDATES. At a candidate forum this week, JD proposed Republicans in Congress use shutting down the government as a bargaining tool to end Joe Biden’s illegal vaccine mandates.
“Right now we have a Biden admin that’s forcing a vaccine mandate down people’s throats. At the same time, we have a debt limit coming up. Instead of giving them a bipartisan flag to wave, we should shut down the government until the vaccine mandate ends,” said JD.
IRS OVERSIGHT. JD joined The Ingraham Angle on Fox News to talk about Joe Biden peaking into normal Americans’ bank accounts.
“Maybe you buy a firearm and the IRS comes after you. Maybe you support a political candidate that the IRS doesn’t like...it's a really dangerous precedent to set,” JD said.
DEMOCRATS’ WORST NIGHTMARE. JD joined Fox & Friends to discuss “Democrats’ worst nightmare” Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for destroying the country.
“You have a presidency that’s been a disaster through 10 months. You have skyrocketing inflation, which has taken down a number of presidencies and a number of countries. I think a lot of Democrats are looking at a sinking ship and they’re trying to find a life raft,” said JD.
ON THE TRAIL. JD traveled to Toledo, Dayton, Jackson and Ironton over these last couple weeks! He always enjoys meeting with voters and hearing their most important issues for JD to solve in Washington.
RITTENHOUSE TRIAL. JD penned an op-ed, published in the Daily Caller, about our dire need to reform libel laws in light of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.
“Rittenhouse’s prosecutors conceded at trial that he carried his gun legally, but this didn’t stop dozens of media figures — before, during, and after the trial — from claiming the opposite. He was an outsider to Kenosha who had no business there, except for the fact that his father lived there, and a local business owner had invited him to Kenosha on that fateful night. Social media companies censored efforts to correct the truth or aid Rittenhouse in his legal defense. On virtually every issue of fact, multiple national media personalities told easily verifiable lies about a teenager,” the piece said in part. Read it all
