John,
The House of Representatives passed the Build Back Better Act weeks ago, containing necessary investments in home care, Medicare expansion, and lowering prescription drug prices. The Senate must act―now. But Senator Joe Manchin is obstructing it. Now, he’s telling Senators he might hold it up until next year:
Let’s be clear: The reason Senator Manchin is skeptical is because he has not committed to voting for the bill. He’s said that he supports lowering prescription drug prices, but right now, he’s standing in the way.
We’re keeping the pressure on Senator Manchin, helping his constituents send him the message to pass Build Back Better now! Can you donate $7 today?
Social Security Works is holding a rally in West Virginia next week to bring grassroots pressure to bear on Senator Manchin. And we’re driving this ad through Morgantown, Charleston, and Huntington, WV leading up to the rally:
Joe Manchin is going to see these ads and hear from West Virginians: Pass the Build Back Better Act now.
Can you donate now to keep our billboard truck on the road leading up to our grassroots rally in West Virginia?
Thanks,
Michael Phelan Social Security Works
