Fellow Conservative,
We’ll give you all of the updates, but first we wanted to extend a warm welcome to the new President of the Heritage Foundation––Dr. Kevin Roberts!
Dr. Roberts is an educator, historian, and grassroots organizer with tremendous experience in advancing conservative policies in government and society at large. He previously served as President and CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation.
He’s been wasting no time in his first week on the job––The Heritage Foundation sued <[link removed]> the Biden admin over the vaccine mandate and joined a coalition letter <[link removed]> calling for increasing transparency and eliminating CRT in schools. Heritage Action gladly signed on <[link removed]> as well!

A Chance to Reverse Roe v. Wade
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court heard Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a case that will decide Mississippi’s Gestational Age Act, which limits abortions after 15 weeks.
The case is a chance to revisit Roe v. Wade, a decision which invented––out of thin air––a Constitutional right to abortion that has been used to strike down state laws nationwide.
Thousands of pro-life activists gathered outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday to express their support for overturning the bizarre, immoral, and unconstitutional legal logic of Roe v. Wade. We were there, and the grassroots fervor was strong!
Don’t believe the media’s spin—most Americans <[link removed]> actually support laws like Mississippi’s, not the radical standard of Roe.
If the Court decides correctly in the Dobbs case, they will overturn Roe which would then return the abortion question to be decided state-by-state, allowing states to enact laws that protect the lives of unborn children.
The pro-abortion lobby wants the Court to continue banning states and voters from protecting unborn babies and upholding one of the most extreme abortion regimes in the world.
The United States is one of only seven countries <[link removed]> in the world that allows abortion after 20 weeks. Sadly, this puts the United States on par with North Korea and China.
We expect the Supreme Court to come to a decision by July 2022.

Government Funding Fight
On Thursday, Congress agreed to a new Continuing Resolution (CR) that will fund the government through mid-February.
Democrats attached two provisions to this new CR that put American interests last:
- $1.6 billion for unaccompanied minors at the border: additional funding to process and settle unaccompanied minors will worsen Biden’s ongoing border crisis <[link removed]>. It will only incentivize more parents to illegally send their children across the border.
- $7 billion for Afghan refugee resettlement: Allocating additional money towards the resettlement of Afghan refugees on top of the $6.3 billion Congress spent in September, without adding any stringent vetting requirements for those in the program, is misguided at best and dangerous at worst.
The only silver lining is that the CR does maintain many Trump-era spending priorities, such as the Hyde amendment, which prevents taxpayer dollars from funding abortions. For this reason, a “clean CR” that did not contain Democrats' two policy riders, would have been better.
Build Back Broke
The legislative vehicle that contains most of the radical Democrat priorities is still sitting in the Senate, after having passed in the House.
The “Build Back Broke” bill contains Green New Deal policies, mass amnesty, a weaponized IRS to target Americans, and carve outs for Democratic special interest groups.

Sentinel Nation Hits Viewership Record
In November, Heritage Action’s Jessica Anderson and Janae Stracke joined John Solomon of Just the News for a special segment Sentinels: Inside a Grassroots Movement.
The special report focused on Sentinels who are pillars in their community: serving on school boards, training poll workers, and lobbying their elected officials
The viewership numbers just came in, and we set a viewership record with over 5 million viewing minutes!
It’s a testament to the hard work our Sentinels give to the conservative movement day in and day out. Great job Sentinel Nation!
Check out the record-setting episode here! <[link removed]>
Thank you for everything that you do.
Looking ahead, the next few weeks are critical in our efforts to stop Biden’s disastrous agenda for America.
Democrats are desperately trying to pass their “Build Back Broke” bill, and we must continue to educate our fellow Americans and make sure Senators know that America is opposed!
