John,
Together, we are moving Manchester forward, and on Tuesday we will decide as a city if we want to continue that progress. Over the past few months I have been going around the city, and everyday I hear people excited about the positive changes they're seeing in our city. But, there is still more work to do, and we need to keep working together to get the job done and build a stronger Manchester.
This week I was honored to be endorsed by Senator Shaheen, Senator Hassan, and Congressman Pappas, and on Saturday (11/2) they'll be kicking off our GOTV efforts with a canvass launch at 10:15 am. Sign up to join them getting out the vote in the Queen City. [[link removed]] Can't make it on Saturday morning? We're canvassing every day until the polls close. Sign up here! [[link removed]]
Thank you for your continued support!
Best,
Joyce

I had fun visiting some of the great recently opened businesses downtown with Congressman Chris Pappas last Friday. Bookery Manchester, Boards & Brews, and Pop of Color are incredible additions to our vibrant downtown. We even took a stroll across the new cat crosswalk on Elm.

Saturday was Drug Take Back Day in Manchester, and our police officers were out with community groups collecting unused prescription drugs for disposal. I also got to meet our newest police horse—Blue.

I'm honored to have the endorsement of these true friends of Manchester. Together we've worked to secure funding for our schools, improve services to combat the opioid crisis, and we're building a stronger Manchester.
Expanding the Reading Plus program

Tuesday morning, I joined students and teachers at McLaughlin Middle School to celebrate the expansion of the Reading Plus program! Thanks to a $105k investment from Granite United Way and Wells Fargo, Reading Plus (an innovative literacy program) will now be expanded to all four of our middle schools. Public/private partnerships like these are making a positive change in our district, and I want to thank Granite United Way and Wells Fargo for their commitment to our students.

I've had a great time visiting communities all over the city the past few weeks! Thank you all for opening your doors, and taking the time to share your thoughtful questions and ideas.
Rex Theatre Opening
[[link removed]]
The Rex Theatre is officially open! In 10 months, the Rex has gone from a dilapidated building to a dynamic 300-seat entertainment venue in our downtown. I am so proud of the partners who got us here today, including The Palace Theatre, the Manchester Development Corporation, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, city departments and more. It took a community to get here, and now, the Rex will be a resource for our city for decades to come.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Halloween at City Hall! And the costumes this year were incredible! From baby Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Pikachu and a recycling truck to Harry Potter, everyone looked great. Thanks to the Manchester City Library and Manchester School District for providing books for the second year in a row. Happy Halloween, everyone!

LETTER: Hotels are a good sign
To the Editor: One sign to look for when judging the economic health of a city is if there are any hotels opening. If hotels are investing in a city that means the city is growing, people want to go there, and the economy is strong.
Since Mayor Craig took office two new hotels broke ground, one of them in the Millyard, which is the first new construction there in decades. The new hotels mean Manchester is a smart investment and our economy is strong.
With Mayor Joyce Craig at the helm our city is growing. Businesses are opening their doors, we’re adding new attractions like the Rex Theatre, and our economy is stronger than it has been in years. Mayor Craig will keep this success going in a second term, and I am proud to be part of growing our city’s economy by supporting her reelection.
