BREAKING NEWS: Sen. Grassley (R-IA) Blocks Background Checks in the Wake of Michigan School Shooting

This is appalling, John.

Just days after the tragic shooting at a Michigan high school, Sen. Grassley SHATTERED hopes of reform by blocking unanimous consent on a common-sense background check bill.

This legislation would make all of our communities safer, and the vast majority of Americans support these measures. But Sen. Grassley stopped this bill from advancing – preventing us from doing anything to break this deadly cycle of gun violence.

Once again he's put the gun lobby and their interests ahead of the safety and well-being of Americans. It's heartless, it's wrong and it's dangerous.

We must CONDEMN Sen. Grassley and show that we're sick and tired of him pushing his far-right, out-of-touch and deadly gun policies on our communities.

But we can only stop them and win real victories with a united, grassroots team. That's why we need 276 more Democrats to respond to our live poll before 11:59 p.m. and denounce Sen. Grassley's actions. So please, John, will you make your voice heard?
