Last month, Cori and her Democratic colleagues passed the Build Back
Better Act, a historic investment in our future, through the House of
Representatives.

Since her first day in Congress, Cori worked to ensure critical policies
that would directly benefit Black and brown Americans were included in the
bill from climate action to Medicaid expansion to support for home care
workers. Cori did everything in her power to ensure the Build Back Better
Act had policies that would actually meet the crises regular, everyday
people are facing.

Now, it's time for the Senate to do its part and get the Build Back Better
Act to President Biden's desk. But in order to pass the bill in the
Senate, Democrats cannot lose a single vote, so we need Senators Manchin
and Sinema to step up for working families.

Cori is ready to do everything in her power to ensure Senators Manchin and
Sinema don't block President Biden's agenda from passing, but we need to
send a strong message that this people-powered movement won't accept
anything less than the full Build Back Better Act.

The Build Back Better Act will not only transform lives — it will save
lives. With its House passage, we secured an important win on universal
pre-K, Medicare expansion, paid leave, community violence prevention,
climate action, and more.

Yet, Manchin and Sinema have continued to obstruct this critical
legislation. In a recent interview, Sinema said she won't commit to voting
for the bill, and Manchin recently told reporters, he's still reviewing
the bill.

John, the
time for delay is over. People are counting on us — parents, immigrants,
and essential workers. Democrats must step up and deliver the progress we
promised voters in 2020.
