In a recent op-ed published by The Washington Post, Republican Senator Mitt Romney defended the filibuster and called the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act an “unserious partisan effort.”

This year, Republicans have blocked voting rights bills three times using the filibuster. The GOP continues to prevent Democrats from passing crucial legislation, proving that they are more focused on “winning” than bipartisanship.

While Democrats are hard at work attempting to empower our democracy, Republicans are standing against it. Do you think the filibuster is doing more harm than good? We want to hear from you:
