John,

Ilhan Omar has yet again been targeted by the far-right in a racist,
Islamophobic attack led by bigoted Congresswoman Lauren Boebert.

While speaking at an event in Colorado, Rep. Boebert made up a disgusting
lie about being in an elevator with Omar implying that she is a terrorist
saying, "Well she doesn’t have a backpack, we should be fine.”

This is another attack in a long list of right-wing attacks on Ilhan Omar
simply because she is Muslim.

Boebert has championed the Big Lie about the results of the 2020 election,
defended the January 6th insurrectionists, and spread hateful messages
about her colleagues. At the very least, she must be censured and stripped
of her committee assignments.

We can't afford to let dangerous lies and bigoted, hateful messages be
spread without consequences.

On January 6, we all witnessed the violent results of the GOP
disinformation campaign to overturn our election.

Lauren Boebert's hateful remarks cannot go unchecked — which means we all
must do our part to hold her accountable.

If we want the House to take action, we have to show them that there is a
groundswell of support holding those that peddle anti-Muslim bigotry
accountable.
