My name is Antoine Smith-Rouse. I’m a Kentuckian and a father of seven.

Today is International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and I’m here to
tell you why Charles Booker is the right (and only) choice — not only for
Kentuckians with disabilities but also for folks all across our
Commonwealth.
[ [link removed] ]But before I get into my family’s story and why I support Charles, I
want to ask if you’d be able to support the campaign and join me in making
a donation of any amount today. Can you chip in?

As a busy father of seven, I am often asked why I get involved with social
justice issues, and why I take time to vocally and proudly support Charles
Booker. The simple answer is this: my family and others affected by
disabilities have no other choice.
Of my seven children, two have documented disabilities that require
regular medical care. And like many other Kentuckians in our situation, we
often have to drive over two hours one way for doctor’s appointments and
battle with insurance companies day in and out. Even in our city of
Owensboro — Kentucky’s fourth-largest city — healthcare isn’t as easily
accessible as it should be.
Charles’ Kentucky New Deal includes delivering quality healthcare to
everyone in our Commonwealth, no matter how much money they have in their
pocket — and that gives me hope for the future of my family, children, and
others.
Seeing that Charles has the vision to make the future better for ALL
Kentuckians regardless of age, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, or
ability gives me hope that my children will prosper in the New Kentucky.

if we want to send him to the Senate, it’s going to require all of us
working together to make it happen. Will you please chip in
$5 or any other amount to Charles Booker’s campaign today?
Let’s work together for a brighter future for Kentucky.
With love,
Antoine Lamont Smith-Rouse
