It feels like just a week and a half ago I was writing you about my vote to censure Paul Gosar after he incited violence against President Biden and AOC.
Now this week, it’s Congresswoman Lauren Boebert who’s making horrifying comments about our Muslim brothers and sisters. I wish I could say that this was an isolated incident, but you and I both know that’s just not the case.
I mean, seriously, what is going on with the Republican Party right now in Washington that every single week, I’m emailing you about another GOP extremist in Congress who’s done something reprehensible?
It’s crazy to me that these extremists are only 3 seats away from taking control of the House majority. It’s also reprehensible that Kevin McCarthy won’t do anything to stop the fringe of his party - not now as the GOP leader, and certainly not if he becomes the Speaker of the House next year. That means we could literally have Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert in control of Congress. And that’s why we’re fighting so hard to hold this swing seat.
