Hello,
For nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade has been the law of the land and guaranteed the constitutional right of a woman to access a safe, legal abortion — but every day since, anti-abortion groups and extremist politicians have tried to undermine women’s reproductive rights.
From attacking Planned Parenthood to threatening to jail doctors, it’s clear Republicans do not care about women’s reproductive health care.
Just this week, the Supreme Court heard arguments on a Mississippi law that is a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade, and the Court’s majority hinted that they would eliminate the constitutional guarantees of reproductive health care. In this case, I filed a brief arguing strenuously that the Court should respect its well-established constitutional precedent.
As our state’s Attorney General, I will do everything I can to ensure women in North Carolina can exercise their reproductive rights.
I promise to defend a woman’s right to choose. If you’re with me, add your name and recommit to our fight to uphold reproductive freedoms for all women.
Today and every day, I’m committed to fighting efforts that seek to strip people of their choices, dignity, and power.
Thanks for standing with me on this critical issue,
Josh
