Reserve your spot for our End of Year Red Carpet Party on December 10

Our annual Red Carpet party is back! As the transit-only red lanes roll out the red carpet for riders across the city, we’re rolling out our red carpet for riders and members with our year-end celebration!

On December 10 at 5:30pm, we will come together to celebrate another year of big wins for transit, such as successfully restoring Muni service following pandemic shutdowns, building deeper connections with communities across San Francisco, launching Youth Cohorts so young people in our city can take control of transit policy, and much more.

We're thrilled to share that State Senator Scott Weiner will be speaking at our Red Carpet Party!

We’ll provide beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as some tasty bites. Get your ticket now to party with a fabulous community of people who care deeply about transit. Vaccination required.

SFTR Red Carpet Party

Rights in Transit with Author Kafui Ablode Attoh and Regina Islas

Join us on November 8th at 5:30pm for a book talk with author Dr. Kafui Ablode Attoh about his new book Rights in Transit, now featuring SFTR member and transit activist Regina Islas.

The book elevates the idea of transportation as a right not as merely a civil right or even a socio-economic right but as a fundamental right to the democratic city.

Join us as we dig into “the fight for transportation justice as a fight for a less alienating city and against the isolation of urban life.”

Want to read the book? Signed copies are available as part of SFTR's End of Year Giving.

Speak up for Muni service restoration!

Before we all walk down the Red Carpet, please make your voices heard on Tuesday, December 7 at the SFMTA Board of Directors meeting.

We need you to call in and show that there is public support for getting routes restored, including the 2 Clement, 6 Haight, 10 Townsend, 21 Hayes, 31 Balboa 52 Excelsior, and 66 Quintara.

In order to meet our city’s equity goals and preserve ridership, we must prioritize transit access for the least mobile citizens and for people without access to alternative forms of transportation. We need to make sure riders voices are heard so service is restored.

Assembly District 17 Candidate Forum

Join us on December 9 at 7pm for a virtual candidate forum for Assembly District 17 candidates! Moderated by SF Examiner's Carly Graf, this forum will focus on a wide range of bicycle, pedestrian, transit and transportation issues. All members of the public are welcome to register and tune in.
