It’s official: Tony Evers is in trouble. Cook Political Report just moved the ranking of Wisconsin’s gubernatorial election from Lean Democrat to Toss-Up.

“Most damning for Evers though was when the [Marquette Law School] poll asked whether he should be re-elected: only 40% said definitely/probably, while 53% said they'd definitely/probably vote for someone else. While named ballots once a nominee is chosen will, of course, tell us a more exact snapshot of the race, these are numbers an incumbent doesn't want a year out from the midterms.”
