If someone at your job made vile, racist, Islamaphobic comments that directly endangered the life of another colleague, they would most likely get fired.

But in Congress, with Kevin McCarthy as GOP Leader, there seems to be a different set of rules.

A few days ago, Lauren Boebert — an extremist right-wing Congresswoman — unleashed a verbal attack on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar that directly contributed to even more violent threats made against her.

Kevin McCarthy has taken no meaningful action.

Instead of condemning the attacks, he’s helped prop up other people in Congress who share Lauren’s views and neglected to outright condemn them.

If he becomes Speaker next year, that means people like Lauren will have even MORE power to make these kinds of dangerous statements without consequence. We can’t let that happen. Not on our watch.
