Austin ISD Ignores Parents, Approves Radical Sex-Ed Curriculum

On Monday night, after an overwhelming majority of local residents testified against, the elected Austin ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to adopt a radical, hypersexualized, and potentially illegal sex education curriculum starting in elementary school. This new curriculum promotes a Leftist ideology that is in direct conflict with traditional views on sexuality, marriage, family, and even biology by encouraging sexual activity and normalizing unhealthy sexual behaviors to children at a very young age. Not only does the curriculum promote homosexuality and gender confusion, but it condemns any opposition to these ideologies.

Texas Values held a press conference before the meeting with issue experts, concerned parents, and pastors from the Austin area and were verbally attacked by members of the LGBTQ community. This vote by the Austin ISD Board sends a clear message: people of faith and traditional moral values are not welcome in Austin ISD. Austin ISD has broken the sacred trust that parents put in their children’s schools. Parents have no reason to entrust their children to a school district that weaponizes education to indoctrinate children into the LGBT political movement.

Drake Pardo Finally Heads Home

The Texas Supreme Court ruled last week that four-year old Drake Pardo can be returned to his parents. Drake Pardo had been separated from his parents since June after Texas Child Protective Services forcefully removed him from his parents’ home without any proof that Drake was in danger. Texas Values signed on to a friend of the court legal brief to show support for parental rights and to stand with the Pardo family who were given little notice and no reasoning for having their child taken away from them. Learn more from our friends at Texas Home School Coalition.
