The Biden administration has made the shameful decision to restart Trump’s deadly “Remain in Mexico” policy – a policy that has put tens of thousands of people in danger and violated their legal right to access asylum. Let’s be clear — the Biden administration is making a deliberate choice to embrace a Trump-era policy, and it must be held accountable. 

People’s lives are on the line. Sign our petition to tell the Biden administration to end cruel Trump policies and restore full access to asylum once and for all. 

A relic of the Trump administration, the “Remain in Mexico” policy was specifically designed to deny access to asylum, while forcing asylum seekers to suffer in squalid conditions and face unrelenting violence in Mexico while awaiting U.S. immigration court hearings.

The Biden administration itself has already acknowledged that nothing could make this policy humane nor lawful. Instead of fighting for humane, lawful border policies, President Biden has chosen to restart this racist policy in a way that is guaranteed to repeat the devastating harms that the previous administration visited upon vulnerable asylum seekers.

, we will hold this administration accountable for the harm it causes and for the lives lost on its watch. If the administration fails to restore full access to asylum, there will be further legal action.
