Vaccines are the key to helping the world beat COVID-19.

[[link removed]]But right now, vaccine patents held by private pharmaceutical companies are slowing down the global effort to get a critical mass of people inoculated against this virus.

Developing countries and those with less funding for public health are pacing behind us in vaccination rates because the information they need to develop and produce effective vaccines is being safeguarded by companies like Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.
