My name is Quaye Quartey. For twenty years I served on active duty as an intelligence officer in the Navy, helping take on so-called “strongmen” who abused their power and hunt down war criminals and terrorists to defend our global security and democratic values.

But if we’re truly being honest, America has never truly lived up to those values here at home. And today, the cruelty of a small minority threatens everything we hold dear.

Right-wing extremists are passing unjust laws that attack our right to vote. Blocking the will of the people on immigration, gun safety and climate change. All backed up by violence that takes innocent lives -- like at the January 6th insurrection at our Capitol.

During his campaign, Republican Congressman Mike Garcia used his service in the Navy to win votes and then went to Washington and voted to overturn the 2020 election results in an attempt to illegally keep Donald Trump in power.

He and I both took an oath to protect and defend our country. Mike Garcia betrayed his. That’s why I’m running against him for Congress and I’m asking for your help:
